Further to the temporary closure of the Club Room and the Government advice to many of our members to self-isolate, an online forum has been set up on LinkedIn, where many members already have a profile.
Captain Robin Plumley has taken the lead and established an Unlisted Group with the name ‘Cachalots’.
Unlisted groups do not appear in search results and are not visible to others on members’ profiles. For all groups, only group members can see group posts.
The idea of the forum is to allow such social and fraternal contact and the exchange and news and views that members might wish during this period of self-isolation.
To join the group:
1. Register with LinkedIn if you are not already a member.
2. Search for Captain Robin Plumley MBE, or here
3. Send him a Connect request. There should be a box on his page or you might find it under ‘More’.
4. Once he accepts your request he will send you an Invitation to join the Group. You should respond by tapping ‘connect’.
